When does the school year start and end?

The academic year starts in July and ends in June.

What are school hours and what is the bell schedule?

Play Group: Starts 8.00 am, Ends 10.30 am

Nursery: Starts 8.00 am, Ends 12.30 pm

KG-I & Above: Starts 8.00 am, Ends 2.30 pm

How many working days are available in a week?

We are following 5 working days per week; Sunday to Thursday. Friday and Saturday are off days.

Which curriculum does the school follow?

AKMIS follows two international curriculum. For Primary Years (PG to G-V), we follow the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Program (PYP) and Middle School (G-VI to G-VIII), we follow school based curriculum which is aligned with reputed British curriculum- Cambridge Lower Secondary with national curriculum. For G-IX & G-X, we are planning for IGCSE which is going to be started from the session of 2020-21.

What is the student’s teacher ratio?

AKMIS follows the guidelines from IBO for student’s teacher ratio which is 20:1 or 30:2 for PYP. For MSP, we follow 25:1 ratio.

Does the school provide any residential facility for students?

Currently school doesn’t have any residential facility for students. But it will be available in the near future.

Does the school provide any transportation facility for students?

Yes. School have a well decorated transportation system for students. Currently school provides transportation facility following four different routes (Narsingdi Shohor, Madhabdi, Palash and Shibpur). To ensure proper safety and security, school has already introduces four latest AC Bus from Nissan Company.

Does the school have any Playground?

School has both all indoor and outdoor gaming facility with a playground also.

Does the school have any canteen facility?

School has modern canteen facility which is directly governed by the school management only. It provides healthy foods at an affordable price.

Do students from other curriculum like national have any opportunity to get admission?

AKMIS believes in equality for all. That’s why we are open for all and we ensure all the support to a student who comes from other curriculum to get adjusted with our curriculum.

Does the school provides any lab facility?

School has all the labs which are required to ensure modern education like ICT, Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematic), and Language etc.
