We learn more by looking for the answer to a question and not finding it than we do from learning the answer itself.” LloTyd Alexander
The International Baccalaureate (IB) thrives to create lifelong learners who are inquirers, open-minded and knowledgeable. In Abdul Kadir Molla International School (AKMIS), we are proud to offer IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) for Grade 11 and 12 students. The Diploma Programme (DP) is a rigorous curriculum that helps students to grow beyond the academic realm and flourish physically, intellectually, emotionally and ethically.
The DP curriculum offers numerous subjects in six subject groups. In DP core, students invest their efforts in creativity, activity, service (CAS) experiences, explore the universe of knowledge through theory of knowledge (TOK) and the Extended Essay provides them the opportunity to apply their knowledge in a real-life context.
I believe that the significant aspect of IBDP is that the students apply their knowledge through internal assessments and extended essay. In this way, our students carry their learnings beyond the classroom walls. As our students learn research methodologies and formal report writing techniques, it prepares them to face the challenges in the university.
We as the mentors and facilitators at AKMIS are excited to welcome our students in IBDP. As a Diploma Programme Coordinator, it is my pleasure to have such diligent and open-minded students in the Diploma Programme. As you graduate from AKMIS and start a new chapter of your lives, I and my team of IBDP facilitators wish you all the very best and pray that you may reach new pinnacles of success and glory.
