The future of any nation depends on the way how children are groomed and educated in that country.
At AKMIS as a head of school, I have taken the responsibility to contribute positively to the development of a progressive and contributing society of tomorrow. With around 22 years of experience in the education field, I am confident enough to accept this challenge.
Today we are living in an era of communication, children find them in the ocean of knowledge where they have access to all sorts of information. The role of the teacher has already been replaced by facilitators. Their role has been changed to facilitate or guides the child to pick right piece of information and train them to analyze it critically instead of providing information that they already have access to.
It is the time when we need to prepare our children to be balanced, open-minded, caring and at the same time courageous enough who can accept that others may also be right with their own perspective.
I strongly believe in a quote by John Dewey,
“If we teach today’s students as we taught yesterday’s, we rob them of tomorrow.”
